All Together Now
At the Collective Retail Co-Op Opens
When it comes to boy bands and beer buckets, you believe that the whole is greater than the sum of its parts.
But where shopping is concerned? You’ll never settle.
Thankfully, there’s plenty to love at At the Collective. The new retail co-op is an adorable jumble of local art, beauty products, and home accessories.
Sally B’s Sally Larsen and Susie Caldwell (Cottage Works) are the local biz wizzes behind the joint. Pop in for 25 booths filled with Drea James jewelry, Gifts on a Mission’s Kenyan artwork, and eats from local kitchens including Just Add Honey and Gardener’s Table.
You may go solo. But prepare to leave a groupie.
At the Collective, 280 Elizabeth Street, suite b103, Inman Park (770-696-5845 or atthecollective.com). Grand opening party, Thursday, April 23, 5-9 p.m.

Get Your Hands Dirty
Gardener’s Table Snacks and Spreads
Rub-a-dub-dub, three men in a tub.
And before we start asking for names, we’ll bet that maybe it was full of a spreadable, pourable delight from Gardener’s Table.
The original-recipe jams, sauces, and seasoning mixes are as quaint as they are scrumptious. Dry rubs like Moroccan spice and BBQ are great for summer grilling and marinade bases. Candied peels (ginger, orange, lime) in pint-size bottles are snackable anytime.
Mason jars of pure lemon or vanilla extract, berry and French onion marmalades, and the addictive red pepper “catsup” sauce will keep fresh in the fridge well into fall.
If your guests haven’t bathed in them by then.
Available at McDonough Street Market, 515 North McDonough Street, Decatur (mcdonoughstreetmarket.com); Irwin Street Market, 660 Irwin Street, Old Fourth Ward (irwinstreetmarket.com). (We are no longer available at either of these locations 07/30/2009)
